We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours

Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our well-established team of ten physicians and eight APPs at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
- Work alongside a unique group of clinicians with diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
- We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Nurse practitioner board certification required (ACNP or FNP)
- Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
- Advanced training and experience in Acute Care preferred but not required.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- New NP graduates are encouraged to apply.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- This position is for a nocturnist nurse practitioner who will work nights.
- We offer various flexible scheduling options to promote a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
- Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
- Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
- The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.
