The People Operations Intern will support administrative and project-based work across the People Operations team, with a primary focus on operational processes, shared services, and People Support. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to how a modern People Operations function scales through systems, documentation, and service delivery.

The intern will assist with maintaining internal knowledge resources, supporting HR system data administration, contributing to process improvement projects, and helping support the day-to-day operations of the People Support shared services model. This is a learning-focused role with meaningful responsibility and visibility into how People Operations supports colleagues across the organization.

The Details:  This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship that will run from June 1st through August 7th, 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will gain exposure to core People Operation functions, while providing support to the team by:

  • Assisting with the creation, organization, and maintenance of content for internal People Operations resources, including Vitals (SharePoint), knowledge base articles in FreshService, and internal process documentation.
  • Supporting project-based work related to People Operations and Support, including documenting processes, organizing workflows, and identifying opportunities for administrative efficiency.
  • Supporting data entry, audits, and clean-up initiatives within the HRIS (UKG) and to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Gaining exposure to a shared services model by learning Tier 0 and Tier 1 support structures and assisting with administrative tasks that support People Support operations.
  • Providing general administrative support to the People Operations team, including document preparation, digital file organization, and coordination support as needed.
  • Assisting with additional People Operations tasks and projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A third- or fourth-year student currently enrolled in an accredited college program, pursuing an undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field
  • Interest in People Operations, shared services, or administrative process improvement.

PAY RANGE

  • $17-$20 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience, geographical location, and size/complexity of the program being supported.
