Join a team committed to uncompromising care and collaboration. As a DCH Regional Medical Center nurse practitioner, you’ll work alongside trusted colleagues to deliver exceptional care and help shape outcomes that matter for patients and the community. 

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 6 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners at DCH Regional Medical Center
  • Work alongside a dedicated team actively involved in work groups such as practice guidelines, the code blue committee, and the ICU celebration of life committee.

Qualifications:

  • Acute Care Certified Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prior inpatient APP practice experience is required. Training is available for procedural skills (arterial lines, central lines, intubation).
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • This is a full-time night position. Our APPs work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with support from the night Intensivist (1MD & 1 APP 7PM-7AM).
  • PRN-per diem option available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DCH is a 583-bed tertiary care center. We have excellent rapport with subspecialists and the ICU nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and palliative care teams. We have dedicated critical care pharmacists in both ICUs.
  • Conduct evening rounds, handle new admissions, and perform ICU procedures.

Conveniently located less than an hour from Birmingham, residents also enjoy easy access to Atlanta, Nashville, and Gulf Coast beach communities.

    Start your journey as a new graduate or transition to an unfamiliar role by completing a structured clinical training program focused on developing essential competencies for high-quality patient care. This training is supplemented by a self-directed didactic curriculum to build a knowledge base and support ongoing professional growth.

  • Practicing :

    Continue your career as a practicing clinician by continually expanding your clinical expertise and delivering exemplary patient care. Develop foundational leadership skills and contribute to organizational excellence by engaging in committees and supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Single-site Leadership :

    Assume leadership responsibilities at the practice level as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider, Associate Medical Director, or Medical Director.
