Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our Sound-employed team of 2 physicians and 2 APPs at Effingham Hospital.

  • Collaborate with Sound Physicians to enhance hospital services through the role of a nocturnist Nurse Practitioner.
  • We focus on utilization management (UM), compliance, and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) to support hospital performance.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioner with previous hospitalist experience.
  • Previous nocturnist experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 7-days-on, 7-days-off, 7p-7a doing admissions (average 2/night) and taking cross coverage calls on an average daily census of 20 at a 25-bed hospital.
  • Collaborate with the hospitalist Director for the management of patients
  • Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.

Hear from our team

  • Courtney

“Our advanced practice providers work in a team-based care model alongside their physician colleagues. They're driving the care for their patients, but at the same time, they have that physician collaborator there. If they have a question, if they need another set of eyes on the patient, the physician is there to do that. This provides our advanced practice providers with the support needed to practice at the top of their license.”

    April Burke,
    Chief Advanced Practice Officer
