We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our closely knit, established team of 18 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse.
  • We have a stable team that is steadily expanding. We are looking to add more clinicians to our growing practice.
  • UNC Nash is a well-established hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, offering a wide range of services, including a semi-open ICU, intensive care coverage, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • We welcome complex cases while ensuring our team is supported with resources like intensivists and e-ICU.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified physician with experience in hospital medicine or a desire to transition into the field.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
  • H1B and J1 candidates are invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hospitalist care in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night.
  • Participate in the code team, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule, allowing for time with family, friends, and personal interests.
  • Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

Scheduling:

  • Nocturnist hours are 7p-7a, 7-days-on, 7-days-off with schedule flexibility

Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation package and higher pay with bonuses with an average of $380k - $390k for nocturnists.
