We’re looking for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to step into a leadership role where collaboration, flexibility, and community impact come together. Local Team Collaboration:

  • Lead our close-knit team of 23 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital - Camarillo.
  • Work alongside associate medical directors, clinical performance nurses, program manager & coordinator.
  • Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.
  • Dignity St. John’s Regional Medical Center earned an “A” rating through Leapfrog Safety.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
  • Must have leadership experience in hospital medicine and at least 3+ years of hospitalist experience.

Scheduling:

  • Administrative Days are offered.
  • 7 days on/7 days off block scheduling or flexible scheduling.
  • 12-hour clinical shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical care.
  • Provide clinical oversight for the team while building strong relationships with our hospital partner leadership.
  • Manage an open ICU, but no procedures are required for this role.
  • Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, discharges, and cross coverage depending on the shift.
  • Help manage two hospitals- SJRMC has 265 beds and a 23-bed acute rehabilitation facility, and SJHC has 82 acute care beds and a 99-bed extended care unit.
