Team Collaboration:

Join our close-knit team of hospitalist physicians who work clinically and lead hospital medicine teams
Our team members live nationwide and travel to our hospital partner sites
We are a growing team of 25 acute care certified advanced practice providers.

Qualifications:

Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners.
Minimum of 3 years of hospitalist experience and are passionate about teamwork, integrity, and delivering high-quality patient care.
Our nurse practitioners are Certified in Acute Care.
Sound’s licensing team will assist in obtaining any necessary state licenses to work at our hospital partner locations, and we will cover the cost of these licenses.

Scheduling:

Ambassadors work a 7-days-on, 7-days-off block schedule.
Our Ambassador NPs are flexible and can work various shifts, including days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

Practice in various hospital settings and are highly adaptable.
Welcome the challenge of complex cases.
Our team covers adult acute care patients in a traditional hospital medicine setting. We complete admissions from the emergency department, develop treatment plans, and perform history and physical examinations.
Our nurse practitioners have the opportunity to lead and develop new team models and mentor new team members.
Ambassadors participate in any team meetings and initiatives to drive high-quality care and bring better care to the bedside.

Living and Working as an Ambassador:

Sound covers airfare and lodging for your travel to each site and your competitive compensation, ensuring you can focus on providing excellent patient care while enjoying all these dynamic cities have to offer.

Compensation:

Salary ranges from $185K to $221K depending on the work schedule (days/swings/nights).

Start your journey as a new graduate or transition to an unfamiliar role by completing a structured clinical training program focused on developing essential competencies for high-quality patient care. This training is supplemented by a self-directed didactic curriculum to build a knowledge base and support ongoing professional growth.
Practicing :
Continue your career as a practicing clinician by continually expanding your clinical expertise and delivering exemplary patient care. Develop foundational leadership skills and contribute to organizational excellence by engaging in committees and supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Single-site Leadership :
Assume leadership responsibilities at the practice level as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider, Associate Medical Director, or Medical Director. In these roles, you will oversee clinical teams, collaborate with hospital partners, and ensure both operational and clinical excellence within a single-site setting.
Multi-site Leadership :
Expand your impact by supporting multiple practices as a Regional or Divisional Lead Advanced Practice Provider. These roles emphasize the recruitment and retention of Advanced Practice Providers and facilitate team integration initiatives.
Specialty Leadership :
Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer, where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.
