We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Business Analysis, for a contract-to-hire opportunity within our Portfolio Management team. This role is ideal for a seasoned business analysis leader who can think strategically, operate hands-on, and support complex cross-functional business and technology initiatives from discovery through delivery.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, process improvement, solution design, consulting, or related disciplines, preferably in healthcare or another complex, matrixed organization.

Experience with enterprise applications, systems integrations, data flows, process redesign, portfolio or project delivery, SDLC, and agile ways of working is strongly preferred.

We’re looking for an action-oriented, detail-driven problem solver who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, translating business needs into actionable requirements, and guiding stakeholders toward alignment, decisions, and adoption of practical solutions.

This role will partner across clinical, operational, technology, and central services teams to help mature the business analysis function and team while directly supporting high-impact enterprise initiatives.

The Details

This is a full-time, contract position with the potential for future conversion to a permanent position, subject to business needs and organizational approval.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the business analysis function for the Portfolio Management team, establishing standards, methodologies, governance, templates, and best practices for requirements management, process documentation, solution design, and business analysis deliverables.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to identify business needs, process gaps, and operational challenges through discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, root-cause analysis, and business process assessments.
  • Lead cross-functional discovery workshops, process mapping sessions, and requirements discussions to build alignment, resolve competing priorities, and drive informed decision-making.

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, prioritization, validation, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring business objectives remain aligned with delivered solutions.
  • Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, quantify opportunities, validate business cases, support decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Provide project leadership for initiatives tied to business analysis and process improvement work, including managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications for small- to medium-sized efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between senior executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams, communicating recommendations, tradeoffs, and implementation considerations clearly to audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality business analysis artifacts, including business cases, current and future state process maps, requirements documentation, user stories, testing strategies, and change management plans.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and delivery teams to define acceptance criteria, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate delivered solutions, and ensure business needs and expected outcomes are achieved.
  • Define success measures and partner with business leaders to evaluate solution outcomes, benefits realization, and continuous improvement opportunities following implementation.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and other emerging technologies to improve business processes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead organizational change management activities that support process and technology adoption, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, impact assessments, and transition readiness.
  • Support portfolio intake, strategic planning, and project prioritization by assessing business value, solution complexity, organizational readiness, implementation risks, resource impacts, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Monitor adherence to business analysis standards and quality expectations across strategic initiatives and continuously improve methodologies, templates, and practices.
  • Build, mentor, and ultimately lead a growing team of business analysts by establishing performance expectations, coaching team members, conducting quality reviews, and fostering continuous professional development.
