About the Role
The Sr. Director, Network Performance is the senior accountable leader for a strategic partner portfolio within Sound's ACO. This role combines cross-portfolio performance ownership with pod-level people leadership and function-level contribution to Sound's Network Performance operating model. The Sr. Director serves as a trusted strategic advisor to clinical and facility partners and as a thought partner to Sound's executive team on network-level performance strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio Performance Leadership:
- Owns projected clinical improvement savings, AWV completion, and telemedicine adoption outcomes across a multi-partner-type portfolio (clinical groups, post-acute facilities, or combined). Sets the performance strategy for the portfolio and drives execution through direct team leadership and partner-facing engagement. Accountable for retention of strategic accounts.
Network Performance – QIN Dyad Partnership:
- Operates in a dyad model with assigned Quality Improvement Nurses (QINs) and leads the dyad structure across the pod. Network Performance owns partner relationship, performance strategy, governance, operational execution, and commercial levers of the partnership. The QIN owns clinical quality standards, care model integrity, coding and documentation quality, and clinical outcome metrics. The dyad jointly delivers partner performance through the MPR and JOC cadence, with shared accountability for overall partner success and distinct ownership of respective lanes.
People Leadership and Pod Operations
- Leads a pod of Directors and Managers. Owns talent development, performance management, hiring, and pod-level operating cadence. Accountable for team retention, capability progression, and readiness of Director-track talent for promotion.
Network Performance Framework Contribution
- Contributes to and owns segments of Sound's Network Performance operating model — MPR framework, Partner Termination SOPs, governance artifacts, Copilot Studio agent expansion, and cross-pod standardization. Represents Network Performance in the Internal Performance Committee (IPC) and supports Contract Committee and SteerCo preparation.
Executive Partner Engagement
- Serves as Sound's senior relationship owner for Too-Big-To-Fail (TBTF) partners within the portfolio. Leads Joint Operating Committee (JOC) governance, executive escalation, and strategic account planning. Anchors Sound's "What does Sound see that I don't?" posture at the partner executive level.
The Details: A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of a combination of these values, knowledge, experience and competencies:
Values
- Collaborative: Demonstrates the ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal and get the work done; takes opinions of others into consideration; includes others in the decision-making process.
- Persistent: Demonstrates the ability to “keep at it” even when obstacles or challenges are present; returns to the work at hand after a change of course.
- Team Player: Proactively seek to work with others to accomplish a common goal. Willingness to share challenges and successes with others.
- Trustworthy: Demonstrates a high degree of integrity; keeps confidences; does what they say they will do.
- Resourceful: Proactive willingness to utilize available information and tools to figure things out.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated cross-portfolio fluency across clinical and facility partner contexts
- Senior-level relationship ownership with clinical executives and facility operators

- Fluency in ACO contract structure variance (PA Clean TIN, PSA Sound ACO TIN, LTCF OE Participant Agreements)
- People leadership — hiring, coaching, performance management, and retention
- Governance participation — IPC, Contract Committee readiness, and SteerCo-level synthesis
- Strategic advisor posture — the partner experience is "Sound sees something I don't," not "Sound is helpful when I call"
- Demonstrated performance outcomes in at least two of: projected savings generation, quality composite improvement, utilization management, partner retention in value-based contracts

Education and Experience
