Join our Medical Group as an Executive Leader as an Associate Chief Medical Officer, Advisory Services- A Role Designed for You
The Associate Chief Medical Officer is a 100% fully remote-based position responsible for managing our remote physician advisors and serving as the clinical dyad partner to VPs of Client Success and Sound Hospitalist Medicine's integrated business with a portfolio of hospital partner clients.
As a successful leader, you will mentor and develop a team of on-site and remote physician advisors, as well as those supported through other agreements, to maintain high-quality performance and grow the hospital partner book of business by communicating with key external stakeholders.
Team Collaboration:
- The ACMO will provide oversight for 50 FTE, 15 onsite and 35 remote advisors. Together, they collaborate to provide expert guidance and drive better outcomes.
- Our physician advisory team operates across multiple states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada, and West Virginia, collaborating with partner hospitals to improve services and outcomes.
- The team leads utilization management (UM) efforts, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and regulatory compliance. Our role is to drive performance improvements in length of stay, readmissions, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification Required.
- Experience in Utilization Management, compliance, and clinical documentation preferred.
- Strong leadership, education, and collaboration skills.
Scheduling:
- 100% Remote Position with limited travel, providing a healthy work-life balance
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and operational leadership.
- Responsible for mentoring, developing, and managing a team of high-performing remote physician advisors with oversight and management of our Onsite Physician Advisors.
- Provide input, guidance, and resource planning for the development and maintenance of training and education for physician advisors.
- Develop, plan, and implement, in conjunction with the physician onboarding team, training activities for new physician advisors, ensuring quality, mentoring, and monitoring of case reviews.
- Participate in monthly hospital partner account reviews as deemed appropriate by operational and clinical leadership.
- Review clinical performance data to identify opportunities to engage hospital partners in retrospective chart audits and drive incremental concurrent case reviews.
Rewards and Benefits:
- Total yearly compensation, including management bonuses, is around $380K.
