Advance Clinical Excellence as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in Tucson, AZ

Deliver patient-centered care that makes a difference at TMC Rincon. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a skilled team, contribute to clinical excellence, and enjoy opportunities for professional growth – all while serving the Southeast Tucson community.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join TMC Rincon Hospital’s close-knit team of 8+ Emergency Medicine physicians and 4+ Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). 
  • The Emergency Department provides 24/7 coverage with 26 hours of physician coverage and 16 hours of APP coverage (10-hour and 6-hour shifts).
  • Subspecialty support includes: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ENP) with acute care, direct Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Due to the high acuity of patients and autonomy of the role, significant ED experience is required. 
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • Flexible scheduling of 10-hour and 6-hour shifts. 
  • Full-time with Sound is 120 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency care in 18-bed ED (plus 3-bed observation unit) in a 55-bed acute-care hospital.
  • Manage a variety of emergency cases.

This training is supplemented by a self-directed didactic curriculum to build a knowledge base and support ongoing professional growth.

  • Practicing :

    Continue your career as a practicing clinician by continually expanding your clinical expertise and delivering exemplary patient care. Develop foundational leadership skills and contribute to organizational excellence by engaging in committees and supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
