Local Team Collaboration:

  • Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 24 physicians with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
  • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who rely on and learn from one another in their approach to patient care.
  • We gather frequently for lunch and monthly for team meetings.
  • We proudly sponsor H-1B candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists as well as licensing and credentialing experts.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • IM or FM board certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining certification.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in California.
  • We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or physicians with experience desiring a career change.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • Days, swings, and nights available.
  • Flexible block schedules

Key Responsibilities:

  • We work in an open ICU setting with 24/7 intensivist coverage. Our team is not required to do procedures.
  • We encourage our team to participate in hospital committees and the community.
  • For those who like to teach, we work with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.

Compensation:

  • The expected annual compensation for this role is $ 320,000-$330,000.
  • Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
