Local Team Collaboration:

Join Canyon Vista Medical Center's close-knit team of eight physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs).
Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians who bring a variety of geographic, educational, and training backgrounds to our team. Our physician assistants practice to the top of their scope, with support from attending physicians when needed.
Teamwork is at the heart of our culture, with colleagues always ready to lend a hand during procedures or shift changes.
Many team members actively participate in hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, and lead initiatives to improve patient care and update order sets.

Qualifications:

Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Medicine experience and ENP certification preferred.
New grads with previous emergency medicine experience welcome to apply.

Fluency in Spanish is a welcome asset, enabling even stronger connections with our patients.

Scheduling:

12-hour shifts.
We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide care in a smaller, community-based hospital with a level III trauma designation.
Annual ED visits 10,000.
Manage a variety of emergency cases, including triage and fast-track patients.
Collaborate closely with Sound’s hospital medicine team to ensure a seamless transition of care.
Work within a multidisciplinary environment supported by 24/7 specialty coverage, including cardiology with a cath lab, general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics with spine care, neurology (with telestroke support), psychiatry (with an on-site inpatient behavioral health unit), oncology, and nephrology with dialysis capabilities in the ICU.

Sierra Vista, located an hour southeast of Tucson and nestled among scenic mountains, offers an easy commute to Phoenix. Due to nearby Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista has a significant military and veteran population. It is renowned for its friendly and welcoming community and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Single-site Leadership :
Assume leadership responsibilities at the practice level as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider, Associate Medical Director, or Medical Director.
