Join Our Puyallup, Washington, Team as a Hospital Medicine Physician – A Role Designed for You

Bring better to the bedside in Puyallup. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow—while making a difference for patients and families every day.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 50 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, supported by a clinical performance nurse at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital.
  • We are a very diverse group with a wide breadth of individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in internal or family medicine.
  • Ability to commence practice in or around January 2027; we are not yet recruiting for 2027 Residents
  • We proudly sponsor H1b visa candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists and our licensing and credentialing experts. All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are covered by Sound. Not considering 2027 J1 candidates at this time.

Scheduling:

  • We offer flexible block scheduling.
  • Currently recruiting for a primarily daytime rounding role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We welcome the challenge of complex cases. We work in a hybrid ICU with intensivist coverage 24 hours a day (our team is not expected to perform procedures, but does see the occasional DKA patient).
  • For those who like to teach, we work with medical students from Pacific Northwest University, residents from East Pierce Family Medicine Residency, and APPs from all over the country.
  • Committees are rotated every six months or at one’s discretion.
