Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Emergency Medicine physicians at Olympic Medical Center.
  • Our model consists of 24 hours per day of APP coverage and 36 hours per day of physician coverage.
  • Level 3 trauma, 67-bed acute care hospital.
  • 21-bed Emergency Department.
  • Annual volume of 29,500.
  • 10 ICU licensed beds.
  • We promote inclusivity by involving the team in decisions and encouraging everyone to contribute ideas that shape our program.
  • Our strong teamwork culture thrives on consistent communication, and a supportive OMC staff is always ready to help.
  • Our emergency department leads hospital-wide changes through a collaborative environment that values feedback and inclusion.

Qualifications: 

  • Board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience and ENP board certification.
  • ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Scheduling:

  • Nurse Practitioners work 12-hour shifts of 8a-8p and 11a-11p.
  • Physicians work shifts of 6a-6p, 2p-2a, 6p-6a.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We actively collaborate with nurse leadership to collectively “own” the ED, consistently striving to improve patient care and ensuring we are attentive to those requiring our services.
  • We actively contribute to various committees, including the pediatric committee, the vulnerable patients committee, the violent restraint workgroup, and the ED committee, and we are actively seeking to join additional committees.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Trainee :

    Start your journey as a new graduate or transition to an unfamiliar role by completing a structured clinical training program focused on developing essential competencies for high-quality patient care. This training is supplemented by a self-directed didactic curriculum to build a knowledge base and support ongoing professional growth.

  • Practicing :

    Continue your career as a practicing clinician by continually expanding your clinical expertise and delivering exemplary patient care. Develop foundational leadership skills and contribute to organizational excellence by engaging in committees and supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Single-site Leadership :

    Assume leadership responsibilities at the practice level as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider, Associate Medical Director, or Medical Director. In these roles, you will oversee clinical teams, collaborate with hospital partners, and ensure both operational and clinical excellence within a single-site setting.

  • Multi-site Leadership :

    Expand your impact by supporting multiple practices as a Regional or Divisional Lead Advanced Practice Provider. These roles emphasize the recruitment and retention of Advanced Practice Providers and facilitate team integration initiatives.

  • Specialty Leadership :

    Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer, where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.
