Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 6 physicians and 2 APPs at Mercy Hospital Pittsburg.
  • Work alongside a team that values diversity, with clinicians from various geographic, educational, and training backgrounds, all united by a commitment to learning and improving patient care through fresh perspectives.
  • Our team thrives on collaboration and mutual support, and we are always ready to help during procedures or shift changes.
  • Many of us actively participate in hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, strengthening our relationships with specialists and the supportive administration.

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for board-certified/eligible emergency medicine physicians or family medicine physicians with emergency medicine experience.
  •  J1 visa candidates invited to apply, access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists, as well as our licensing and credentialing experts

Scheduling:

  • Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, we offer a flexible schedule. We are always there to support each other when covering shifts.
  • Shift times are 6 AM - 6 PM and 6 PM - 6 AM.
  • Full-time status is 120 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care in a 16-bed emergency department, managing a diverse range of cases with over 19,000 annual visits.
  • Benefit from robust subspecialty support and imaging services, ensuring comprehensive diagnostics and exceptional patient care.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialists and imaging professionals, to deliver top-tier care.
  • Engage in regular monthly, remote, and in-person meetings to foster team collaboration and provide a platform for feedback and continuous improvement.
