Local Team Collaboration:
- We believe in local, site-led leadership.
- As Chief, you will work closely with recruitment, operations, clinical leadership, and site administrators to build a strong team for the patients of Panama City.
- Sacred Heart Bay is a level II trauma center with approximately 250 heart cases each year.
- Cardiac Anesthesia includes CABG, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clips, both open and minimally invasive plus Cath lab, EP, interventional, and structural.
- Non-cardiac cases include general, trauma, neuro, spine, ortho, ENT, Gyn, Uro, plastics, Endo, lap choles, appendectomies, hernia, colon/GI, joint replacements, etc. No OB.
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience preferred, or must have leadership qualities.
- Completion of a US Residency.
- Board certification in Anesthesia.
- Fellowship not required.
- Active FL license or able to obtain.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Rotate with 4 other CV-capable physicians + 1 Main OR non-call physician.
- A day, non-call taking physician will cover Monday through Friday to have more hands on during the day.
- Early release PRE-call day and guaranteed post call off day!
- Enjoy 13 weeks of time off – travel or enjoy the local beaches or Gulf fishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee departmental operations, staffing, and scheduling with a focus on fairness and flexibility.
- Partner with hospital and nursing leadership to uphold patient safety and quality standards.
- Support continuing education, mentorship, and professional development for all anesthesia providers.
- Collaborate on policies and best practices related to anesthesia care, airway management, and perioperative safety.
- Focus on caring for complex cases in a busy collaborative care team environment.
- Partner with a Main OR Anesthesiologist and a team of experienced CRNAs.

Rewards and Compensation:
- Robust compensation package with guaranteed base salary of $575,000-$615,000 and opportunity to maximize income.
- Annual chief stipend of $50,000 for admin duties.
- $100,000 commencement bonus.
- W2 and 1099 options available, your choice.
- 13 weeks of scheduled time off.
- Medical malpractice insurance, including tail coverage.
