We are hiring for both hospitalist and nocturnist positions. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.​

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our team of physicians at Oak Valley District Hospital – 6 clinician team. 4 hospitalist physicians, 2 APPs providing coverage to this growing community
  • Work alongside our Sound emergency medicine team, among other specialists

Qualifications:

  • Board certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine with inpatient experience
  • Open to J1 visa candidates; Sound provides in-house visa specialists.

Scheduling:

  • Hospitalist day shifts – 7a-7p.
  • Nocturnist shifts – 7p-7a.
  • 7 on/off model, 15 shifts/month, 182 shift/year.
  • Part-time options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in an open ICU environment.
  • No procedural requirements but preferred.
  • Rounding and admitting, includes Rapid Response and Code Blues.
  • If intubations are required, then the ED Doc will assist.

  • Oakdale is known as the Cowboy Capital of the World and attracts visitors from all over annually
  • This area’s attractions include Woodward Reservoir, Cowboy Museum, Orange Blossom Recreation Area, and Greger Basin
  • The natural beauty of Oakdale is unbeatable! The Stanislaus River and the Sierra Nevada foothills are close by. Also, this area is considered the gateway to Yosemite National Park, Dodge Ski Resort, and Stanislaus National Forest.
  • We have excellent schools and a strong, close-knit, safe community.
  • This is also near two major cities – Modesto and Stockton.
  • Our guiding principle is patient-first care, which means we focus on the people of Oakdale and nearby areas. You’ll be part of a team that’s making a real difference in the health of our neighbors.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $2000/day shift, $2200/night shift.
    • Full time hospitalist role with fair share of nights yearly compensation is $382,200.
    • Full time nocturnist yearly compensation is $400,400.
    • Quality bonus and productivity eligibility are in addition to base compensation.
