We’re looking for a Board-Certified Physician Assistant to join our community-centered emergency department, committed to delivering great care. Enjoy a sustainable career with autonomy and predictable hours to support maintaining work-life balance.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • We are growing our strong and collaborative emergency medicine team size to 2.5 EM advanced practice providers (APPs) and 6+ EM physicians at Oak Valley Hospital.
  • Our model consists of 10 hours per day of APP coverage and 24 hours per day of physician coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/Board-eligible Physician Assistant certification with preferred Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Additional certifications required: PALS, BLS, ACLS.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • APPs work 10-hour shifts.
  • Full-time is 120 hours per month; part-time option available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An acute care hospital with a 12-bed ED (all private rooms) and four fast-track beds.
  • Annual volume of 20,579 with a 4% admission rate.
  • Average of 2.1 patients per hour.
  • The hospital includes 5 ICUs and 30 med/surg beds.
  • Level 4 Trauma goal in 2025/2026.
  • Radiology, including CT/Ultrasound and MRI, is available during daytime hours.
  • Specialty services include Anesthesiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, General Surgery, Mobile Crisis Psych, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Wound Care.

  • Oakdale is considered a family-friendly, historic town, home to boutique shopping and diverse cuisine, and it is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast.
  • Oakdale is known as the Cowboy Capital of the World and annually attracts visitors from all over.
  • This area’s attractions include Woodward Reservoir, the Cowboy Museum, the Orange Blossom Recreation Area, and Greger Basin.
  • The natural beauty of Oakdale is unbeatable! The Stanislaus River and the Sierra Nevada foothills are close by. Also, this area is considered the gateway to Yosemite National Park, Dodge Ski Resort, and Stanislaus National Forest.
  • We have excellent schools and a strong, close-knit, safe community.
  • This is also near two major cities- Modesto and Stockton.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Average hourly compensation of $104.50/hr. Plus paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage.
  • Benefits package included for benefit eligibility of 80 hours/month or more.

In these roles, you will oversee clinical teams, collaborate with hospital partners, and ensure both operational and clinical excellence within a single-site setting.

    Expand your impact by supporting multiple practices as a Regional or Divisional Lead Advanced Practice Provider. These roles emphasize the recruitment and retention of Advanced Practice Providers and facilitate team integration initiatives.

    Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer, where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.
