Local Team Collaboration:

  • We are seeking a day hospitalist to join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital.
  • Work alongside diverse clinicians from the Tri-state Area, including NYC, NJ, and the Hudson Valley. Our team collaborates closely and is encouraged to participate in medical committees, contributing to shared decision-making and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
  • New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • The full-time day physician position has a 7-day-on, 7-day-off rotation, and the part-time day physician position has a more flexible schedule.
  • The nocturnal hospitalist position also has a 7-day-on, 7-day-off rotation.
  • We offer flexible scheduling options, including bi-monthly team gatherings that promote a supportive work environment and allow for a balanced approach to personal and outdoor pursuits.
  • Our team values flexibility, ensuring you can enjoy time outside of work while maintaining professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The care for medical and surgical patients in a Level 3 trauma community hospital with a 15-bed census, 5-bed ICU, and 22 inpatient psychiatry beds.
  • Serve a diverse patient population in a low-volume ED with high acuity, providing essential specialty services such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease, and podiatry.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a hospital that functions as a primary receiving stroke center, holds a geriatric-accredited emergency department, and serves as a department of correction receiving facility.
  • Collaborate with team members and utilize the hospital's outpatient clinic for coordinated care.
  • Procedures are not required for the day position, but are required for the nocturnal role.

Compensation:

  • Yearly compensation for a daytime hospitalist is $283,000.
