Local Team Collaboration:

  • Team is composed of 5 physicians and 2 critical care APPs providing care in the 24-bed medical/surgical ICU.
  • Integral part of the larger care team at this 185 bed state of the art hospital.
  • Serving the growing West Richmond community for over 20 years.
  • Part of the larger Bon Secours Richmond health system caring for patients across the Richmond area.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified Critical Care physician (MD or DO).
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of post-fellowship critical care experience with at least 3 years of prior ICU medical director experience.
  • A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.

Scheduling:

  • Average of 12 clinical shifts per month with a mix of days and nights, plus administrative work.
  • We collaborate to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an established Intensivist team to ensure the highest quality of care in the ICU and community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the ICU with all team members and across the hospital.
  • Be the leader for ICU service and Sound – hold an attitude of continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Situated just a few miles west of Richmond, Midlothian is part of the Western Richmond suburbs and is a welcoming historic community offering endless outdoor recreation, suburban comforts, and accessibility to all things RVA. Richmond, Virginia, is one of the country’s fastest-growing communities and offers residents the convenience and culture of a metropolitan lifestyle as well as endless recreational options. Enjoy outdoor concerts and festivals, a children’s museum, art galleries, golf courses, craft breweries, wine bars, and endless shopping choices abound throughout the region. Foodies are drawn to Richmond for the diverse and artistically designed restaurants that are spread throughout the city and outlying communities.
