Local Team Collaboration:
- We are seeking day hospitalists to join our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph London.
- Work alongside a dedicated team that thrives on collaboration. We offer a supportive environment where teamwork is a cornerstone of our approach.
- We actively support each other at every turn, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in family or internal medicine.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer a flexible schedule with both day and night shifts to accommodate personal commitments.
- Our team fosters a culture of support, where we cover for each other when someone needs time off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage various cases in a 150-bed hospital, focusing on complex cases in a semi-open ICU, benefiting from round-the-clock intensivist coverage.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff and engage in key medical staff committees, including the credentialing and medical executive committees, to improve communication and patient care.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, APPs, and residents from Lincoln Memorial University, fostering a culture of learning.
- Engage in weekly group huddles to discuss challenges, share updates, and ensure seamless collaboration across the team.
- Work within a structured program divided into 2 daytime groups, with support from a dedicated nocturnist for night coverage.
