Join a Team Committed to Better Care as a Nurse Practitioner in London, Kentucky

We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in London, Kentucky—better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We'd love to talk if you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and connection to a vibrant community.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of ten physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph London.
  • Work alongside a dedicated team that thrives on collaboration. We offer a supportive environment where teamwork is a cornerstone of our approach.
  • We actively support each other at every turn, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess current board certification or eligibility in their respective specialty.
  • Sound Physicians supports candidates requiring visa sponsorship (H1B or J1). Our in-house visa specialists and licensing and credentialing experts manage the process, covering all essential visa filing fees and services.

Scheduling:

  • Our program offers flexible scheduling to support work-life balance and personal commitments. The team operates in two daytime groups, each with four physicians and one APP, complemented by a dedicated nocturnist for night coverage.
  • We are hiring for a swing APP role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 11 pm.
  • Team members collaborate to cover for each other, ensuring seamless care delivery while allowing flexibility for personal needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The hospitalist APP will primarily handle patient admissions during the day shift, manage patients throughout their stay, and assist with discharges under the supervision of a physician.
  • Teamwork is integral to our practice. Our clinicians work closely with medical students, APPs, residents, and intensivists and actively participate in medical staff and nursing committees to enhance communication and patient care. The role also involves engaging in teaching opportunities with learners from Lincoln Memorial University.
  • The team manages complex cases in a semi-open ICU supported by 24/7 intensivist coverage. Clinicians are not responsible for performing procedures or code management.
  • Weekly group huddles ensure consistent communication, collaboration, and the sharing of essential updates, reinforcing our commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Living and Working in London:

  • Our community offers a unique blend of small-town charm and vibrant opportunities. Nestled in the heart of Kentucky, London boasts picturesque natural landscapes, a rich cultural heritage, and a close-knit community that values the well-being of its residents.
  • Our team members who call London home have discovered the joy of living in a place where both their professional and personal lives can flourish.
  • Our guiding principle is to deliver patient-first care while fostering growth and development for our team members. We provide opportunities for physicians to advance their careers locally in London and across our broader medical group, ensuring professional fulfillment and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Our team takes pride in making a meaningful impact on the London community. By engaging actively within and beyond the hospital, we aim to strengthen the health and well-being of our neighbors and contribute to the prosperity of the community we serve.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Competitive guaranteed salary with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
