Bring better to the bedside in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow—while making a difference for patients and families every day.

We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 33 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) at UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health Jacksonville North.
  • Collaborate with dedicated clinical performance nurses and work closely with a wide array of specialists, case managers, and nurses.
  • Be part of a Level I tertiary facility, where we engage in daily interdisciplinary meetings with key departments to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine.
  • Valid Florida medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a hospitalist, you will handle complex cases in a closed ICU, with intensivist coverage during the day and night.
  • You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care without the expectation of doing procedures or running codes.
  • Collaborate with case management, nursing, and pharmacy to improve patient outcomes and streamline care.

Compensation: 

  • Competitive salary from $250,000 to $328,500. Additional incentives for extra shifts.
