Bring Better to the Bedside as a Hospitalist in Iron Mountain, Michigan at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson

Bring better to the bedside in Iron Mountain. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow – while making a difference for patients and families every day. 

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 2 APPs at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson.
  • Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson is a 25-bed critical access hospital. Work alongside a long-standing team of 2 physicians and 1 advanced practitioner daily. 
  • We take pride in our relationship with hospital leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
  • New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply. 
  • We proudly sponsor both H1B and J1 Visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.

Scheduling:

  • Our Hospitalist shifts are 7 am – 7 pm. 
  • Full-time Hospitalists have a flexible schedule with an average of 15.2 shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver full-spectrum care for adult inpatients in a 25-bed critical access hospital serving multiple surrounding counties.
  • No nights; our own telemedicine team covers the hospitalist inpatients during the night.
  • There is a small open ICU but the other physician covers the ICU inpatients. This is a non-procedural role.

  • Located in Michigan's scenic Upper Peninsula, Iron Mountain is centrally located between Marquette, Michigan, and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Residents enjoy a wide variety of outdoor recreation in all four seasons, and an affordable cost of living, making it an appealing place to call home.
