Bring better to the bedside in Henderson, NC. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered
care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow—
while making a difference for patients and families every day.
Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit, established team of 8 physicians, supported by a Program Coordinator.
- The hospital is licensed for 205 acute care beds, 52 med-surg, and 12 PCU beds.
- We have a stable team that is steadily expanding. We are looking to add more clinicians to our growing practice.
- Maria Parham Hospital is part of the Duke LifePoint Healthcare system and is a well-established hospital in Henderson, NC.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
- We proudly sponsor H1B & J1 visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Duties: Serve as content expert in representing the hospitalist team at monthly meetings with operations and/or hospital leadership.
- Serve as medical director if the medical director is on PTO or unavailable.
- Serve as the team lead for day-to-day questions.
- Hospitalist Duties: Manage admissions, especially during morning hours, round on patients, and manage rapid responses for own patients.
- Open ICU with minimal expectations of our team, with intensivist support.
- No procedures required.
- Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
Scheduling:
- Hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days on, 7 days off, with schedule flexibility.

Rewards and Compensation:
- Compensation includes clinical shift pay, leadership stipend, and incentive bonus opportunity.
- Productivity and quality incentives are offered in addition to the base salary.
- Commencement bonus and relocation assistance are also available.
