Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our team of Advanced Practice Providers and tele-ICU physicians to provide exceptional patient care resulting in positive patient outcomes. 

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Two years of experience as an independent provider in the ICU (with procedure logs).
  • Montana Nurse Practitioners must demonstrate completion of 6,240 hours of supervised practice under a collaborative agreement with a physician.
  • Must have certificate of full independent practice authority from the state of Montana.
  • Active Montana license and DEA preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • ICU coverage is 12-hour day Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider 7 a.m. -7 p.m. working in collaboration with Sound tele-ICU physician. 
  • Average of 15 shifts per month, modified block shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 10-bed surgical ICU with cardiothoracic patients and observation ICU patients, estimated 8 encounters per day.
  • Work collaboratively with the cardiothoracic surgeon, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants and other hospital team members to deliver high quality, evidence-based critical care services.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice including central line and arterial line placement and intubation. Manage mechanical ventilation in collaboration with respiratory therapy.
  • Participate in goals of care discussions and family communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives as determined.

  • Great Falls is located halfway between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, making this centrally located city accessible and convenient via the international airport. Known for a strong arts and culture presence, Great Falls has 11 museums and 25+ murals throughout the city. It is also home to famed Western Artist Charles M. Russell. His works are visible throughout the city. Diverse dining options including fresh farm-to-table experiences and abundant local shopping and attractions make Great Falls an appealing destination city. 

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Annual salary, $200,000 plus based on 15 12-hour shifts per month.
  • Full benefits offered.
  • Commencement bonus paid in first paycheck.

    Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer, where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.
