Make an Impact Where it Matters Most as a Hospitalist in North Fresno, California

Deliver patient-centered care that makes a difference. In this role, you’ll collaborate with highly specialized surgeons within a state of the art Surgical and Heart Center. Contribute to clinical excellence and enjoy opportunities for professional growth – all while serving the Fresno community.

We are hiring for a hospitalist position. Candidates must be comfortable rounding and admitting patients during their shift.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join a team of 6 physicians at Fresno Heart and Surgical Center.
  • Work alongside Cardiac, Vascular, and Bariatric surgeons in providing the highest level of care to patients within a 48-bed specialty care hospital. Here you will become an integral member of the hospital and community.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
  • Board Certified/board eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • We proudly sponsor H1B visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Day shift hours are 7 am - 7 pm. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
  • This is a full or part-time position. full-time preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient care for patients receiving care in an environment that requires and promises an elevated patient experience.
  • Work very closely with surgeons and surgical teams in caring for pre-and post-surgical adult patients of all ages.
  • No procedures required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives, including length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance. Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule, allowing for time with family, friends, and personal interests.
  • Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
  • Utilize Epic EMR system.

  • Fresno is a few hours’ drive from California’s picturesque coastline. Explore the beautiful beaches and charming towns along the Central Coast, such as Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, or Pismo Beach.
  • Enjoy a mild year-round climate with more than 300 days of sunshine annually.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Annual compensation up to $315,000 - $385,000, based on the number and type of shifts worked.
  • Eligible for additional productivity and quality bonuses.
  • Moonlighting premium for additional shifts.
