Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our well-established team, which currently comprises 16 members, including 6 daytime rounders, 1 swing physician, 1 nocturnist, and a clinical performance registered nurse at Washington Hospital.
  • Excellent nursing staff as well as collaborative consulting services.

Qualifications:

  • A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • Full-time commitment is 15 shifts/month.
  • 7on/7off scheduling with flexibility.
  • Primarily day shift with equal rotation through swing (12p-12a).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28-bed ICU and a 23-bed emergency room.
  • Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
  • A manageable workload and a balanced, supportive work environment foster a balanced, supportive work environment.
  • Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.

  • Fremont, California, on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, is an ethnically diverse community. Fremont has a high median income, making it a safe, family-friendly environment with a moderate Mediterranean climate typical of the San Francisco Bay Area, near the Santa Cruz Mountains to the west.  The Bay Area is a great place to live, with its diversity and many opportunities for fun activities, and the hospital is in an ideal location, close to many restaurants and amenities.
  • Fremont is only 40 miles from San Francisco. San Francisco is renowned for its vibrant culinary scene, offering a foodie paradise with diverse cuisines worldwide. Additionally, the city's proximity to Lake Tahoe, just a few hours away, allows outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy the lake's stunning beauty and the surrounding mountains.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary is $327K plus quality and productivity bonuses and full employee benefits.
