  • Help lead our team of 22 physicians and 10 advanced practitioners who work closely with other hospital staff and departments at Frederick Memorial to deliver the best possible quality of care to our patients.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician.
  • Minimum of 2 years Hospitalist experience.
  • Leadership experience preferred; this can include Qi projects.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • Full-time position follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
  • Day Hospitalist Hours - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a day physician, you will round and discharge inpatients. May receive an occasional admission if the admitter is backed up.
  • As the Associate Medical Director you will assist the Medical Director with administrative/leadership responsibilities while building strong relationships with our hospital partner leadership.
  • Our hospital has a closed ICU during the day with 24/7 intensivist support by Sound’s own Critical Care team. There are no procedural requirements.
  • Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, while the intensivist team manages codes.
  • We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions, to stay current on the latest medical developments at the hospital and with Sound.
  • We work in Meditech Expanse, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.

Compensation:

  • The base salary for a full-time day hospitalist is $265,000 (there will be an increase the fall of 2026) plus as the Associate Medical Director you will receive a $30,000 yearly stipend along with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment.
