We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 20 APPs at Fredrick Health Hospital
Work alongside a Clinical Performance nurse. We prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, and case management
For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs

Qualifications:

Physician assistant board certification required
Current, unrestricted MD license with at least 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred
ACLS/BLS/PALS required
Must be able to work independently

Flexible Scheduling:

Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we’re out

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with fellow APPs and physicians in managing a thriving and very busy ED
We welcome the challenge of complex high-acuity cases. Our physician assistants practice at the top of their licenses with the support and collaboration of ED supervising physicians
