Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 24 physicians and 18 APPs at Fredrick Health Hospital.
- We prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, Goals of Care Hospice, and case management.
- For those who like to teach, we work with PA studentsfrom Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
- Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
- Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner board certification required.
- Current, unrestricted MD license with at least 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred.
- ACLS/BLS/PALS required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Flexible Scheduling:
- Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we’re out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow APPs and physicians in managing a thriving and very busy ED.
- We welcome thechallenge of complex high-acuity cases. Our physician assistants practice at the top of their licenses with the support and collaboration of ED supervising physicians.
