Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 20 physicians and 60 CRNAs at John Peter Smith Hospital.
- We foster close collaboration with our CRNA colleagues, ensuring we collectively provide the highest standard of anesthesia care for the Fort Worth community.
- Level 1 Trauma Center certified in stroke, heart attack, sepsis, and delirium care, we care for more than a million patients each year.
- John Peter Smith Hospital was named #1 hospital in the US by Washington Monthly
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/eligible in anesthesia.
- New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Opportunities to earn additional compensation if you work over and beyond normal working schedule.
- Two positions available:
- This position will offer a strong base salary for ASC work + an annual stipend when Medical Director duties are assigned.
- The main OR position will have in-house night and weekend shifts at Q5-6, with compensatory time off from day work. Average work hours/week in the 45-50 hr. range, including the night and weekend shifts. Physicians primarily work 10–12-hour shifts.
- Backup home call Q5-6 with very low call back rate. This happens approx. one time per year.
- Additional compensation paid for shifts picked up over and beyond your normal working schedule.
- Leadership and growth opportunities available for those interested.
Key Responsibilities:
- We have 13 operating rooms, 3 OB suites, 3 GI suites, and 5 ORs in the ASC.
- Specialized chiefs oversee obstetrics, trauma, and cardiac care, and pain services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of expertise.
- Academic appointment with TCU available, if desired.

Compensation and Additional Benefits:
- Well-rounded compensation package up to $560K with the ability to work additional shifts for additional pay.
- Generous 9 weeks of scheduled time off.
- Full benefits offered, new 401k plan with increased matching, CME/wellness reimbursements plus dues and licenses covered by Sound, commencement bonus, and malpractice and tail.
- Sign-on bonus and relocation available.
