Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 20 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Holy Cross Hospital, supported by a dedicated clinical performance nurse.
- Holy Cross Hospital is a 557-bed facility with full subspecialty support.
- We are known for our stability and cohesiveness. As we expand to meet the needs of our growing patient population, you will benefit from a supportive work environment that encourages long-term relationships and professional growth.
- Our team is actively engaged in hospital committees and collaborates closely with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine residency program, fostering a culture of teaching and learning.
Scheduling:
- Day shift position.
- 7 days on/ 7 days off, 7 am to 7 pm.
- Swing shift position available that assists with admissions starting mid-day.
- We understand the importance of work-life balance and the desire to pursue activities beyond the workplace; we work together to ensure team members can take time off when needed.
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine.
- At least 2 years of hospitalist experience with an interest in an academic setting and a day shift schedule.
- Interest in teaching and mentoring residents.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Our ICU operates as a closed unit, managed by onsite intensivists, and procedures are not mandatory for this position.
- Collaborate closely with internal medicine residents in a teaching environment to enhance the learning experience of medical students and residents.
