Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
  • St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has partnered with Sound Physicians to provide emergency medical services.
  • 17,000 ED volume.
  • State-of-the-art hospital with a 17-bed ED.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible ABEM/ABOEM, IM, or FP.
  • ACLS, PALS is required.
  • ATLS required non-boarded physicians.

Scheduling:

  • 24-hour physician and 12-hour APP coverage. All 12-hour shifts.
  • Advanced scheduling 90 days out to plan for travel.
  • Additional hourly compensation for extra shifts above 12 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Trauma Assessment and Resuscitation - As a Level III Trauma Center, physicians are responsible for the immediate evaluation and stabilization of critically injured patients.
  • Acute Neurological and Cardia Intervention - The facility serves as a Level II Stroke Center and offers comprehensive cardiovascular services. Physicians manage time-sensitive emergencies.
  • Patient Advocacy and Communication Excellence – This role is vital. The physician is often the primary face of the hospital, and their ability to build quick rapport is essential for a positive patient experience.
