Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 3 APPs at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
  • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
  • Our team meets frequently to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and for general feedback.
  • We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Hospitalist experience preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States. 

Scheduling:

  • Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
  • Shifts for the swing position are scheduled from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivist coverage 24/7. No procedures required.
  • As a day hospitalist, you will perform rounding and discharges. 
  • As a swing shift hospitalist, you will perform an average of 10 admissions.
  • Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team with intensivist support. No code responsibility – there is a code blue team.
  • Excellent subspecialty support.
  • We use EPIC EMR and have access to our own internal informatics platform.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Expected annual compensation for a full-time day hospitalist is between $276k - $286k, and for a full-time swing shift hospitalist it is between $310k - $320k, which is comprised of a base salary plus incentives.
