Local Team Collaboration:

  • Our supportive and dynamic team of 12 physicians and 6 APPs is well-established and has built a reputation for collaborating with other hospital departments at Mercy Hospital Buffalo to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients.
  • Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are dependable and flexible. You can count on them to follow through.
  • We have a great relationship with our medical staff office; they are very efficient and helpful during the privileging process. We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.
  • Enhancing the patient experience, our clinical performance nurse plays a pivotal role in assisting you throughout the care process.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician
  • Hospitalist experience preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling:

  • Your schedule will be 7 days on and 7 days off.
  • Swing shift: The hours are 11 am to 11 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivist coverage 24/7. No procedures required.
  • As a Swing physician, you will perform an average of 10 admissions.
  • Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team with intensivist support. No code responsibility - there is a code blue team.
  • Excellent subspecialty support
  • Our team meets frequently to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and for general feedback.
  • We use EPIC EMR and have access to our own internal informatics platform.

Compensation:

  • Expected annual compensation for a full-time, swing shift Hospitalist is between $310k- $320k, which is comprised of a base salary plus incentives
