We are hiring for a Part-Time Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.
  • As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
  • Excellent subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse practitioner board certification required. Acute Care Training Strongly preferred.
  • Prior hospitalist inpatient preferred.
  • For a new grad NP, experience as an inpatient RN within the ICU or acute care settings is ideal.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month.
  • Block schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
  • We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
  • The population we serve is very ill. The happiest team members thrive on complexity and high acuity, knowing they are making a difference with strong support around them at all times.
