We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 28 physicians and two Nurse Practitioners at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Alaska.
Scheduling:
- Enjoy a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- At Providence Alaska Medical Center, our physicians practice the full breadth of adult medicine, including general medical wards and surgical consults. We have an ICU that is fully supported by intensivists who practice within the same group, The Alaska Hospitalist Group.
- Providence Alaska Medical Center is supported by multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and ob/gyn. Interventional Radiology services are also available.
- In addition to Providence Alaska Medical Center, the staffing model with The Alaska Hospitalist Group also includes hospitalist services at Central Peninsula Hospital, St. Elias Specialty Hospital, and Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

Alaska has so much to offer! Anchorage is a modern city with beautiful scenery and so much outdoor recreation. Within the city are moose, bears, glaciers, and many miles of trails for activities including hiking, biking, and skiing. There are also golf courses, shopping malls, world-class restaurants, two universities, as well as a sports arena and performing arts center. Enjoy the view of the Chugach Mountains while taking in the wild and include the modern amenities of an active city with so much to do and see.
