Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 8 EM residency-trained, Board-Certified physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers at Samaritan Healthcare.
- Work alongside our team of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
- Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
- Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.
Qualifications:
- We welcome both physicians coming out of training and experienced physicians looking for a career change.
- Emergency Medicine Board-Certified/Board Eligible (ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible)
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Shifts include: 7a-7p, 10a-10p, 7p-7a
- We understand the importance of work-life balance. Our flexible scheduling allows you to spend quality time with your loved ones or enjoy the outdoors. We cover for each other when needed and strive to accommodate requested days off. Holidays are scheduled equitably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Level III trauma center with an annual ED volume of 26,500.
- 9-bed ED plus 2-bed triage and fast care.
- Sup-Specialty Support available: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine/Hospitalist, Radiology with Real-Time Reads 24/7, CT/Ultrasound 24/7, MRI 7 days a week, OMFS, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, GI, Tele-neurology.
- A brand-new hospital is being built and is on track to open in March 2026.

Compensation:
- Base annual 1099 compensation is a minimum of $396k per year.
- $50k commencement bonus for a full-time commitment of 120 hours or more.
