I’m Al Imbody, the Associate Chief Anesthetist Officer for Sound Anesthesia’s Blue Region. We are pleased to announce our arrival at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. People
- The group consists of 27 CRNAs and ten physicians.
- CRNAs practice to the top of their license.
- You will be led by a Chief CRNA and Chief MD who genuinely support one another.

- Kansas City is home to 2.4 million people. The median age of the population is 35.4 years. KC is home to more barbecue restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. In addition to the food, KC is known for its public spaces, such as its celebrated fountains, parks, and boulevards, and, of course, the Super Bowl Champion Chiefs.
Practice
- Research Medical Center is a 590-bed Level I Trauma Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and effective treatment for heart attack and sepsis. Other specialized programs include traumatic brain injury, TIA, Grossman Burn Center, Gastrointestinal (GI) Center of Excellence, oncology care in partnership with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, 24-hour obstetrics ER, Level III NICU, Transplant Institute, Center for the Relief of Pain, and orthopedics/sports medicine.
- You will manage cases ranging from Level I Traumas to General, Neuro, Orthopedics, Pediatric, and GYN.
- W2 compensation is guaranteed at an annual rate of $233,000.
- Strong commencement bonus offered.
- Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability coverage, a 401k plan with matching contributions, paid medical malpractice insurance, tail coverage, and an annual CME allowance.
- There will be a dedicated OB CRNA team with minimal cross-coverage to the main OR.
- OB CRNAs will work 24-hour shifts in a 1:3 rotation with every 4th week off, equating to 13 weeks of scheduled time off.
- There will also be a dedicated Trauma CRNA team, which will work 24-hour shifts in a 1:3 rotation with every 4th week off, which equates to 13 weeks of scheduled time off.
