  • 255-bed acute care hospital
  • Established 20-physician team with a clinical performance nurse is adding 2 nurse practitioners
  • No call and no procedures are required
  • Semi-closed ICU
  • Nights, 7on/7off
  • Productivity bonus eligibility and a significant commencement bonus
  • *$2k per month travel stipend for applicants that plan to live outside of a 50-mile radius of Bakersfield
  • Salary range: $145k – $165k; dependent upon experience

Requirements of Nurse Practitioners

  • Perform evaluation and management services to patients requiring hospitalist services with the hospitalist practice
  • Develop treatment plans
  • Complete admissions from ED
  • Perform dictation of H&P examinations
  • Cross-cover for the hospitalist team
  • Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP scope of practice
  • Current, unrestricted license in California; candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of hospitalist experience as an NP
