Since 2022, I have been an integral part of the team, initially as a hospitalist and growing into the medical director. We are expanding our team and are looking for new colleagues to join us. We welcome recent graduates as well as seasoned clinicians. I want to share more about who we are and what we do — specifically about our people, practice, and purpose — as you consider your options:

  • Our hospital medicine team is an exceptional blend of highly skilled, motivated, and deeply engaged providers who have a genuine affinity for our community. Emphasizing teamwork, they value collaboration while maintaining their distinct individual practice styles.
  • Presently, our team consists of three daytime physicians, one nighttime physician, and one swing APP, following a seven-on-7 seven-off schedule.

  • Our hospital is organized into five units: two medical-surgical units, one progressive care unit, one cardiac/step-down care unit, and one intensive care unit (ICU). The ICU is staffed with a dedicated critical care physician with tele-ICU capabilities.
  • As a level 3 trauma center, stroke center, and comprehensive cardiac center, our facility provides specialized care. The team’s daily responsibilities include overseeing inpatient care, handling new admissions, and supervising the swing APP. Active participation in mandatory multidisciplinary rounds ensures patient safety and directs appropriate resources.

  • Our hospitalist team members are deeply committed to the hospital’s success and actively participate in various committees such as the sepsis, readmission, peer review, credentialing, and glycemic.
