- We take pride in our well-established team at Washington Hospital. Currently, we have a team size of 16. Typically, we have 6 daytime rounders, 1 swing physician and 1 nocturnist. We also have the support of a clinical performance nurse dedicated to our team.

Qualifications:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and preferred minimum of 2 years of hospitalist leadership experience.
- An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- Medical Director schedule includes ten clinical shifts a month in addition to administrative time to focus on leadership responsibilities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28 bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
- Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
- Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
- Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.

- Located on the Eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, Fremont, California, is an ethnically diverse community. Fremont has a high median income, making it a safe and family-friendly environment with a moderate Mediterranean climate, typical of the San Francisco Bay Area near the Santa Cruz Mountains to the west. - Competitive compensation package includes base plus administrative leadership stipend for an annual base compensation range of $336k-$372k. Eligible for additional productivity and quality bonuses, as well as medical director bonus.
