Scheduling:

  • Average of 12-14 shifts per month. Block schedule with roughly 1/3-night shifts. We work together to make a monthly schedule we can all agree upon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Our Summit campus is a comprehensive stroke center and STEMI center with a robust cardiac surgery program, including a structural heart program. Our 36-bed ICU is a mixed unit with medical, surgical, cardiac surgery, and neuro patients. We have an Internal Medicine residency program that started in 2024.
  • Our Ashby campus is a primary stroke center and is home to the largest birthing center in the East Bay. Our ICU has a capacity of 30 beds, but typically 16 of the beds are open and being used at any given time. We have excellent relationships with consulting services like IR, GI, and Anesthesia.
  • Our Sutter Delta campus is a 141-bed hospital and STEMI center with a 12-bed ICU. The majority of our patients are medical, with some post-op surgery patients.
  • We work in EPIC, with access to our own internal informatics platform.

Living and Working in the East Bay:

  • Our team is a social group and meets occasionally for nights out. Additionally, we indulge in our amazing local restaurant scene as well as our beautiful local parks. Nearby, we have access to the parks along the San Francisco Bay and redwood-covered East Bay hills. We are one hour from the wine country and three hours from the Sierra Nevada mountains.
