We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our well-established team of ten physicians and eight APPs at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

  • We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Nurse practitioner board certification required (ACNP or FNP)
  • Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Advanced training and experience in Acute Care preferred but not required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • New NP graduates are encouraged to apply.

Flexible Scheduling:

  • This position is for a nocturnist nurse practitioner who will work nights.
  • We offer various flexible scheduling options to promote a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
  • Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
  • The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.
