Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of hospitalists at Franciscan St James Health Olympia Fields Campus
- We are seeing two Nurse Practitioners to fill roles within our Observation Unit as well as within our pre-surgical testing clinic which is located within the hospital.
- Our 26 FTE hospitalist team consists of a medical director, associate medical director, program manager, clinical performance nurses, physician hospitalists, and APPs.
- Hospitals serve patients within our 214-bed facility, and while a sizable portion of our patients are geriatric, we see a wide variety of diagnoses in adults of all ages.
Qualifications:
- NP Certification required.
- Ideal candidate has experience working with pre-surgical patients or surgical patients as a nurse practitioner, and /or worked as an NP in an urgent care or primary care environment.
- Inpatient NP experience coupled with outpatient experience is a huge plus.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Schedule:
- Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. No weekends and no holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a full assessment of patients prior to scheduled surgical procedures and determine any additional testing or considerations needed prior to surgery.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner. Communicate with all stakeholders effectively and efficiently.
