I’m the hospitalist medical director for Sound Physicians at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. I joined the hospitalist team at St. Mary’s in 2019 as a hospitalist and grew into the hospitalist medical director role. We are expanding our team, and I’d like to share more about who we are and what we do — specifically about our people, practice, and purpose — as you consider your options:

Practice
- We work in an open ICU environment, but no procedures are required.
- We use Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform.
- Compensation depends on the number of shifts worked. On average, our physicians earn $298,368 base salaries with a regular rotation of the day and night shifts.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
- Internal medicine and family medicine candidates are eligible. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible with the expectation of obtaining certification.
