As the emergency medical director at Sound Physicians, who oversees Methodist Hospital Hill Country in Fredericksburg, Texas, I am excited to invite those considering joining our vibrant team at Sound’s program at Hill Country. • Methodist Hospital Hill Country is a hospital with deep roots in the Fredericksburg, Texas community. It started as a German settler community, and the hospital previously named Hill Country Memorial was created and maintained by the community’s generosity. The small-town feel is alive and well within the walls of the hospital. There is nothing like working alongside neighbors to care for your neighbors.

Practice

• As a rural hospital site, we value and engage with primary care providers and specialists. We prioritize our involvement amongst the hospital medical staff with committee participation and collaboration with the other disciplines to provide our patients with the highest quality care possible for their success and safety.
• Our site is small but mighty. Our hospital consists of a med/surg tele unit and an open ICU, predominantly serving as an IMCU. We possess the primary specialties, including GI, that provide advanced endoscopy care, such as EUS/ERCP and Urology.
• We collaborate with a few teleservices (pulmonary/critical care, ID, neuro). Our acquisition by Methodist has decreased transfers and increased inbound direct admissions.
• We partner with Methodist to provide exceptional and cost-effective health care accessible to all, utilizing our integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence values.
