Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Needed on Whidbey Island – Coupeville, WA

WhidbeyHealth is Whidbey Island’s comprehensive healthcare system, providing local access to exceptional care. A certified Critical Access Hospital, the Medical Center is the hub of the WhidbeyHealth system. Services include an Emergency Department, Surgery Center, Intensive Care, Inpatient Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Lab Services, & several outpatient clinics.

  • 13-bed ED – level III trauma center
  • 18,000 annual patient volume
  • Flexible schedule; shifts will generally be 11:30 am-10 pm
  • Full-time is 120 hours/month
  • EMR is Meditech
  • Comp is $100 per hour

Sound Physicians’ nurse practitioners and physician assistants enjoy a key role in driving improvements in acute care, alongside our emergency medicine physicians. In support of our core values, we ensure our advanced practice providers have the time and resources needed to deliver compassionate care. You will be involved with driving improvements in quality, and patient satisfaction, and aligning with hospital leadership in achieving the goals set for the team.

Requirements of Advanced Practitioners

Sound values our advanced practice clinicians and realizes they need a forum to collaborate. Our APP collaborative was formed to provide development opportunities and advance our clinicians’ roles who work alongside our physicians. We offer the same leadership development opportunities for APPs that are provided to our physicians. We are focused on helping you build your emergency medicine career.

  • ACLS/BLS/PALS required
  • Current, unrestricted license in WA is required, and 1 year of recent EM experience required
